Description
So named because this picture reminded me of the scene in Bambi when his mother takes him out into the meadow and warns him of the dangers of man. I didn't actually notice it until I completed the piece ^^Anyway, Cygnet and her new foal Ceilidh, only a few days old.

Thanks, I was trying to go for a different style, painting like maybe. Next up I want to do a detailed head shot of Ceilidh.

this is beautiful. there's something about this piece of artwork that's different. . i don't know what it is. there's a certain romantic, dreamy quality that you've achieved somewhere between the textures of the background and the light around the characters. and the way you've colored them, and their golden flowing manes and tails.. it's captivating.

thank you! As I mentioned before it reminds me of Bambi, partially because the old Disney films were created with hand painted backgrounds that were not animated, and the characters at the centre, it's sort of what i was going for.
