Description
Easily the most recognizable RPG chracter ever created. CLoud Strife, Final FAntasy VII, though i chose to draw the Kingdom Hearts version. umm im working and serval thing which i guess should be up soon. ummi promise I'll explain why i keep putting "DREAM_" on everything. It's a suprise i guess. In do time.Hmm maybe i should do sephiroth next XD i dunno. I like final fantasy.
i think this took about 7 hours from start to finish, sketch, CGI and all.
EDIT: Well i never thought this would be as popular as it turned out to be. So in these circumstances I have modified the picture. The previous one was imcomplete. And also i didn't like it too much. but if i'm going to be known for it i'd at least like to like the piece. So here it is. I hope it lives up to it's predecessor.

He really looks like the one in Kindom Hearts, You're so Incredible in drawing I hope I one time can draw a bit like that. I think you should be drawing Sephiroth too and Tifa, without Tifa, it may not be FFVII, Funny!(sorry) I think you are gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood....<3

"Dream Backwards" looks stellar on my new 22" monitor. Great job. The image is simple, yet it feels epic because of the lighting and pose.
My only critique is the ear, which looks slightly small and possibly too far down or back - in relation to Cloud's face.

i hate to admit (cause i hate ff7 and cloud in particular) but this fuckin rocks too much for me not to love.

I never understood why Cloud was called Cloud... his hair doesn't exactly look "cloudy"... so I presumed that it was 'cus he always has that clouded, brooding look on his face.

It's too bad they changed his design to the Advent Children one in the sequal to Kingdom Hearts. I thought his new design was great for Kingdom Hearts I.

Phew! I'm exhausted just by being awe-inspired by the lighting and textures in this piece.

The contrast is well defined, and the use of lighting technique is extremely detailed. The space is very well designed and used, and the color overall is impressive. Any fault i can find only adds to its artistic integrity.
All in all your piece deserves a huge kudos! ^^

This is absolutely gorgeous in every way possible! Definitely one of the very finest Cloud fanarts, all categories out there. The colors and line works on this picture are so nice and dramatic I just want to drop dead or scream my head off... to act all fan-fan and dramaqueen XD >3
I just love everything about it.... I'm so sold on this one >3 It's kinda surreal watching it, cause it's so friggin good <3 And the fact that it's the KH outfit... just makes it even cooler and darker... add to the fact that I personally think it's the coolest Cloud outfit XD

Indead, Cloud is one of the most recognizable RPG characters of all times, so painting him isn't easy, because everyone has a vision of him, but you did it. This picture is awesome. Great concept.
