Cherry found herself in a land full of light and clouds. She was colored the way she was before she got sick, and the scar on her left cheek had disappeared.
Was this the afterlife?
There was a tunnel of light ahead of her. She stood in front of it, not sure what to do. And then she heard a voice from behind her, and all around.
Cherry turned around to see a strange gro she could have sworn she'd never seen before standing behind her. And yet, she felt as if she did know this Wyngro. She felt as if she knew this Wyngro very well. She trusted this Wyngro. She wasn't afraid.
"It is not your time, Cherry." The strange gro told her. "There is still much you must do."
And then, suddenly, she heard it.
Poseidon.
Her brother.
Expressing concern about the Deelagun, deciding to fight, assuring her, fearing the plague and Cherry's life, telling Cherry how much he loved her.
His voice gave her strength. The strange Wyngro was right. It was not her time. She disappeared into a different cloud of light.
Cherry opened her eyes. She was in her bed again. But all remnants of the plague had vanished.
She was alive.
"Poseidon..." she whispered, "I'm back."
