Secretary Bird (Sagittarius serpentarius) prancing for his lunch at the National Birds of Prey Center, nr Newent. This bird was so funny and pranced about the arena; all that was missing was a handbag lol. Such an awesome bird... a one of a kind unlike any other raptor, it will basically stamp on its prey until its quite quite dead with its very long legs. Prey is usually snakes, and a rubber snake was used as a demo.

What I noticed with this male bird was that, if running into wind towards a choice tidbit of food, he would extend his wings and spring across the ground with presumably less weight than he'd have otherwise or occasionally jump a bit higher and glide for a bit. Such an agile bird with lots of character.
