This post was created back on the 3rd of July, 2016, so there are more or less noticeable difference in relation to the region ( Central Asia) between that date and the current period.
The principal PoD(s) behind this post is already given in the hyphenated links above, so no need for further explanation, although in this case (and possibly in other links), Khalaj language dominated a large area (OTL western and central Kazakhstan), thus it became the lingua franca of ATL Turkestan.
For the flag itself, I based it on the one used by the Basmachi movement ; the only difference is that I moved the canton to the upper left corner of the flag; otherwise, the colors and rest of the design is retained.
