Description
I wanted to draw something where Zim was showing interest or comfort in planet earth.Then I took a turn and split it into chaotic/traumatizing memories or thoughts to go with the nice setting. Weird as it turned out i guess I can't complain.

When I'm looking at this I can't help but to imagine how it would be in Zim's situation, and I'm feeling very lonely just by thinking of it....feeling pity for him

Its interesting to try imagine what it would be like, isn't it just? Seems to take its toll on Zimmy. For a creature supposedly devoid of human emotions he becomes an emotional wreck at times.. Poor bugger indeed.

I think he tries to understand why should he destroy this beautiful planet, despite their stoopid inhabitants... dat blank face says it all.

That bird in the bottom panel is the pigeon which was sittin on Zims head. I bet!

Oh wooow~! Super super awesome!! You definitely get one message with the more peaceful images, in which as you said, Zim is showing more of a comfort in Earth. But then, in the black images, cutting through the lighter ones, it's almost like at any minute Zim could revert back to, what appears to be almost madness if he thinks about the wrong things.
I really do like this piece; the backgrounds are simple, but very well done, and that bench is just gorgeous~! I've always admired the way you draw Zim; you keep the show's style very well, but then add a bit of your own unique touch to it and the result is absolutely gorgeous. Then, I must say that in the darker images the emotions are very strong, and chaotic as you also mentioned.

You could probably tell that i spent way more time on that park bench than the rest of the picture.. Sometimes I get so passionate with background effects, especially wood ones. Its madness in itself. xD

The sad thing is he is basically banished and stuck on a planet he disgusts and he doesnt even know it. He is actually loved more by humans than he is by irkens.

Alot of the character stories and positions are very sad when you stop and think beyond how funny they act. Sometimes I feel in the same boat as Zim with the alienation issue but obviously he is actually an alien so no real comparison exists. xD
