I usually don't upload wips but i'm not sure i'm even going to finish this. I'm not using any kind of reference and idk where to go from here lol. I was basically just messing around with my Prismas because i haven't used them much. But i do absolutely love them. I just really don't know what i'm doing. I really can't figure out how not to do an outline. With copics, i ink the outline then erase the pencil. But i would like to be able to not have an outline with prismas but the pencil marks still show through the lighter colors. Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated. I wouldn't say i'm going for realism, but i'd like to not have a dark outline where it's not neededRelated content

use your white gel pen for the top of the scales. it makes a nice 3D effect.

also if you draw the outline with black colored pencil (or the color its going to be) then erase the regular graphite, it will partially erase the colored pencil but leave just enough to see the outline but remove the ugly graphite. that's what I do

Love how this looks!! if you don't want outlines though just simply don't put any in, go for tones instead like you would with a real dragon? keep drawing this either way!
