Description
The Devious villain of the game. I had a lot of fun with this one. Majorawas the first small fry villain I had seen in any video games I had
played growing up. To me he was so Interesting. I mean the real villain
was the Mask its self. Just so happened to be skull kid obtained it. At
least that's is what I thought happened. Sorry any hard core fans that
are steamed about me not know exactly what took place! I hope you enjoy!

You're basically on-target with your lore there; Majora's Mask is an intelligent mask (technically the entity has no name; Majora could have been the land it was made in or the guy who made it, but people usually call the entity Majora). The Skull Kid was mischievous but not really evil from what I could tell. He was upset at losing the Giants' friendship and was taking his anger out on people, then he stole Majora's Mask and it turned his pranks into evil magical deeds.
Decent design by the way. I prefer the in-game one myself but you did some cool stuff with this. The metal horns on the mask are cool.

almost looks liek a demonic wooden bird creature. I LOVE THIS deisgn witht he eyes cosuming the veiwer ookign at you. i miss the black stares but this has a more animated feel with more creepiness to it.

I'm not sure yet. I would love to continue on and do even more. Next is Link and Epona. If It works between my work schedule I would love to do more. Yet I may have to call it after Link and Epona since that hits the major areas of the game. I wanted to do the moon and some others. Well just see what happens! Glad you like it.

Good art, but to me, his eyes just look too focused. Since he's an indescribable being of chaos and, more importantly, a wooden mask, I don't know if his eyes should have that level of intelligence in them. But, considering this is a redesign, your free to do whatever it is you please.

With Link's ability to obtain masks that let him transform into other races. I felt like the simplicity of a wooden mask that Majora's Mask was bland in a redesign. Don't get me wrong I love the design and think the solid stare look is fantastic for what it was and is. Yet I wanted the Mask of Majora to consume skull kid. To me the Mask was the true evil. It used Skull kid. So I wanted it to have more of a demonic stare. One that could see threw you. One that was always looking and always aware.

Okay, so sort of like a shadow archetype to Link's transformations, instead of a corrupt spirit possessing Skull Kid. I can see that. I'm just more used to blank, hollow stare of the regular Majora's Mask. Always used to unsettle me a little bit.

Oh I love it. It's very cool. I honestly wish I had a replica of it hanging on my wall! I tried using a blank stare for this but I just couldn't feel it. Felt to much of the same. I find that eyes can portray so much emotion. Like Bane from Batman. So much emotion came from the eyes. Which of course for this I pictured the model having the ability to have its eyebrows move and such! It would be one of the thing's I would pitch back and forth to a art director and team. In the end everyone might agree that a blank stare would just feel right or maybe they would agree with me. Being that I took my own stance as the Art director in my own redesign. I felt like it gave something fresh and new to something that has already been done!
