Description This....came out more beautiful than I ever imagined it could be. This is officially my pride and joy, it's absolutely...

Notes: It is not a he, nor a she. It doesn't have a belly button because it wasn't born, so it doesn't need one.
The wing is mahogany wood with a red leather skeleton exterior and brass joints. Top of the line and a shameful addition to any angel's appearance.

Also, it's second wing is modeled after a Mourning Dove, just so you get the allusion.

The horns were just a random addition that I just couldn't bear to get rid of. They fit the image. I couldn't tell you why.

As for the background: *dies*
I didn't think I could do it, but I did. Grass is always hard, but a feild of grain? Woof. But I did it.
I used a hard brush this time vs. a soft and I think the difference is...monumental. It looks so much better, I will never go back.

Pllleeeeaaassssee if you comment on this, leave a little more content than just "awesome!" I like feedback ^_^

I feel I should note some of the symbols in this too. Because I think too much. The wooden wing is supposed to be a shameful thing, something that shouldn't have happened. So the angel is isolated by its disability. This is represented by the feild.
Because its wooden and because its such a symbol of embarassment and dishonor, I wanted the replacement wing to be heavy in the veiwer's eye. So it's droopy to convey a weight, like a burden. However the feathered wing is held high, it's light and proud, as if it were better than the prosthetic. In this way, I'm showing that the original wing is better than the fake, and therefore originality better than pretending.

Amazing. The wing's look so real, and the background looks fantastic. Great job.

I don't know why I like it so much. Im usually facinated by much detail, but this, it's just so original, and it catches my eye.

Great job.

This is one of the most beautiful pictures I've seen in a good long time.

The wings are utterly fabulous, and I absolutely adore your symbolism. And I think that's all there is to say. <3 Wow.

I love what you did with the wings. The detail is just amazing. On everything, that is. The actual angel, I think, stands out against the background. This is just pure beauty. You art never ceases to amaze.

My best guess, this being is tormented by the loss of the wing, and the field represents solitude.
You know, it reminds me of the fox standing in the wheat field in "The Little Prince".

You'd be right ^_^ I never saw "The Little Prince"....
Also, like I explained below: Since its wooden, and a shameful part of the angel's appearance, I wanted it to feel heavy in the veiwer's eye, like a burden, so the wooden wing is low and drooping. Whereas the real one, the feathered one, is held aloft to give the idea that its better than the fake. In a way, I'm giving a message that the original wing is better than the fake replacement, and therefore originality is better than pretending.
Do I think too much? lol

This is mind blowing! The detail, the lighting, the emotion. It's all just perfect. I love the wings. Was it deliberate to make the wooden wing more "droopy" than the feathered one? The sky looks very.. what's the word I'm looking for.. omniscient? Is that it? Ominous? One of those "Om-" words.

One day, some admin will come across this and make it a daily deviant. At least, I hope so. ^_^

Yes, it was deliberate. Since its wooden, and a shameful part of its appearance, I wanted it to feel heavy in the veiwer's eye, like a burden of guilt and embarassment, so its droopy. Whereas the real one, the feathered one, is held aloft to give the idea that its better than the fake. In a way, I'm giving a message that the original wing is better than the fake replacement, and therefore originality is better than pretending. ^_^
I think you mean ominous, because I don't think the sky knows all (omniscient) lol. Thank you so much for the compliments

My Mom: you think too much.

Do you ever get the feeling when you look at a certain picture that your whole head just opens up to it and you can literally feel the space within it?

This is one of those pictures.

So is this another character from your stories/fan fiction or just something randomly off of the top of your head? 'Cause it's good either way. I like the clouds the most though, have to tell ya-they look real. *claps* Cheers you did very well! LIke always I might add...

Yeah it's cool looking though. Sadly all of my random drawings (that are good) are always drawn on stupid lined paper, I hate it!
