Description
Introducing Evolution Monsters! Evolution monsters are a fan-made type of monster that allow you to “evolve” monsters you control into more powerful forms.
Unique Features of Evolution Monsters:
1) They have "evolution requirements", located in the right box above their card text
2) Some Evolution Monsters have "evolution costs", located in the left box above their card text
3) Evolution Monsters have a unique card back that differentiates them from other Extra Deck Monsters

RULES
- Evolution Monsters start the duel in the Extra Deck. The number of Evolution Monsters in your Extra Deck is always public knowledge.
- Evolution Monsters can only ever be face-down in your Extra Deck, face-up in your Extra Deck or face-up on the field. They cannot be face-down on the field, in your hand/Deck/GY or be banished.
- Evolution Monsters cannot be Summoned by any way, also they cannot leave the Extra Deck in any way, except to "evolve" a monster you control
How to "evolve" your monsters:
- You can “evolve” monsters you control into an Evolution Monsters if:
1) The Evolution Monster is face-down in your Extra Deck
2) You control the “evolution requirement”
3) You can pay the “evolution cost” (if any)
- To “evolve” one of your monsters you pay the “evolution cost” (if any) and place the Evolution Monster on top of the “evolution requirement”
- Congratulations, you have just “evolved” your monster!
What is the difference between Summoning a monster and Evolving a monster?
- When you “evolve” a monster you are not Special Summoning a new monster, the “evolved” monster is treated as the same monster even thought it’s stats have changed.
- Placing the Evolution Monster on top of the “evolution requirement” is only done to represent that the monster’s stats have changed (Name, Level, Effects, ATK and DEF). The stats printed on the Evolution Monster are treated as the monster’s original stats so long as it is face-up on the field.
- Since the monster is still treated as the same monster, if any cards are equipped to it, or if it had been affected by any card effect, those cards remain equipped and those effects will still affect it.
If Evolution Monsters cannot be sent to the GY/Banished, what happens when they are destroyed, etc.?
-As mentioned earlier, Evolution Monsters can only ever be in the Extra Deck or face-up on the field. If an Evolution Monster would be destroyed or otherwise leave the field, the “evolution requirement” is sent to wherever that monster should go, and the Evolution Monster is returned to the Extra Deck face-up.
- So, for example, if an Evolution Monster is destroyed in battle the “evolution requirement” is sent to the GY and the Evolution Monster is returned to the Extra Deck face-up.
- You can only “evolve into” Evolution Monsters that are face-down in the Extra Deck. You cannot “evolve into” an Evolution Monster that is face-up in the Extra Deck. Evolution Monsters cannot be Summoned, so you also cannot Pendulum Summon an Evolution Monster that is face-up in your Extra Deck.
- Evolution Monsters also cannot leave the Extra Deck, except to "evolve" a monster you control. This means that they cannot be sent to the GY by cards like "Extra-Foolish Burial". If a random card would be selected from the Extra Deck by an effect like "Number 78: number Archive" or "Pot of Extravagance", Evolution Monsters are not included in that random selection. So they are separated from the rest of your Extra Deck and then a random card is chosen.
