Ancient Manuscripts is a simple card overall. It acts as a bit of extension for the Normal Summon of another Spellcaster, and can be banished with 3 Spells to get a good effect, between a draw 2 or a free body on field from the Extra Deck...on the condition that said good effect has a one-turn delay. Manuscripts is one of my earliest singleton cards, and it's main purpose was to test the waters of good effects with a delay in resolution; kind of like Time-Rending Morganite is in recent times for duel-long effects.

Trivia:
- This card's artwork, Type/Attribute/ATK/DEF and contains the word "Acolyte" in it's name is an allusion to my on-going "Entity Revitalization" project for the "Entity" archetype. In that daunting project (that I really should get back to doing someday), the core line-up of monsters are "Mythos Acolyte" monsters, which consists of 3 main factions of cults, each specializing in Summoning their respective Entity sub-branch (Elder, Old, and Outer, respectively.)
- The monster from the Extra Deck this card can Summon of course includes the legal Entity monsters, since they are all Level/Rank 4 (barring Azzathot).
- The total number of cards that gets banished by this card's effects totals up to 4, which also ties in with the above trivia fact.
