The dolls have secrets. International banking codes, what you do in the dark when you think no one is looking. And their own ability to grow to larger size. At least that is the secret Leota keeps. Another picture influenced by the haunted mansion. Truth be told (and who wants that) I drew this picture over two years ago. Skipped its coloring in order to get more recent drawings colored. But darn it all I really like it. so here it is for you out of the cobwebs of my file cabinet and into the cobwebs of a spooky mansion.Related content

The woman's dress is lovely along with her expression! The lineart is very well done. You've got every little detail on her!
a few critiques would be to not use textures on the mantel behind her, it looks really out of place compared to the other toony people. And they boys don't really look like they're looking at the woman. Moving their pupils, the direction they are facing, or just lowering them a bit on the page will make it look more like it.

Your right about the boys. Like i said in the comments i drew this two years ago. If I had to do it over again i would do things differently. As for the texture background, does it not make the toons much more attention grabbing? I try and think of animated films with toons and watercolor backgrounds. Is it more distracting this way? I started to make the background with line art as well but it seemed to be to many lines and more confusing to look at.

It's really only the mantel that stands out funny. It looks too realistic in comparison to the rest of the picture. I guess you can say it's too detailed for this specific situation.

Oh its highly detailed. I wont argue with that at all. The backgrounds take me much longer to make than the line art toons. But unlike the toons with the background textures rock, metal, fire. I'm actively trying to make something that looks real. Dont feel as if you have to apologize. For there own good most people should space out and stop reading my ramblings as quick as they can.
