As a fat person, I feel it my obligation to say, no, you're wrong. Thin Rose is best Rose. Fat is worse than skinny, objectively. Obviously, if you don't care about looking good or being physically on par with others, then you should be comfortable with your size. However, if you're fat and think that should be seen in a positive light, or worse "beautiful in it's own way" or something like that then you are simply in denial. I fancy myself more the intellectual type (though I'm unfortunately not that smart anyway), and do not care for physical activities, nor do I care about looking sexually appealing to others. If I did, I'd lose some weight.

i apologize you feel that way, it's almost heartbreaking to see another so oblivious to the sheer beauty bigger people can have. Thin and Fat are beautiful in their own respects, and one is not more than the other. But if you feel I'm wrong then that's too bad. And living in that mindset would be a very disgusting and sorrowful way to live, when you not only view others different than society's norms as lesser than a thin person, but also yourself. It's obvious I can't change your mind when you spew such a distasteful opinion, yet an opinion nonetheless, so all I have to say is it's unfortunate... that and Rose will always be viewed as the big and beautiful character she is, especially by a majority of the fandom, so I'd get used to it, buddy.

I will say, I've realized that you might not necessarily be in denial, but rather have a fetish for fat individuals. I would point out that for the vast majority of people, from a completely physical perspective, fat people are not sexually attractive. Not universally true, but we are talking about the general consensus and normality here. It's one thing to think life itself is beautiful, and that we as humans are all beautiful by sheer existence, but it's another to conflate that with beautiful in as much as someone is attractive. It's not an opinion to say that a fat person is physically less fit than a thinner individual (to a healthy degree, as in not overweight or underweight). Not to mention that being overweight actually affects the brain and one's mental processes. I wouldn't advocate going out of your way to tell someone how their weight is negatively affecting them (unless you think they actually don't know, then be respectful about informing them), but you definitely shouldn't be encouraging it or spreading lies that do so.

People are allowed to find beauty where they find it, and not be stigmatized for it.  They might like fat rose, and it doesn't have to be because of "fetish".  On that note, there are plenty that find heavy people sexually appealing.  YOU may not, but that is your own preference.  It's not your place to speak out for the rest of humanity.   That said "ew, thin rose" does seem quite an inappropriate comment as well, so kudos for calling them out on that...
Personally,I think the artwork is pretty.  I would stilll think it was pretty if it was fat rose. (it's the style... love the hair and texture in this one.)

Thin Rose is not best Rose, thin Rose is just as good as any Rose. Also as an overweight girl i think i look pretty good and not being skinny doesn't stop most people i know from thinking i'm pretty either, and i'm the same size than canon Rose, one size smaller at most. Y'know, fat is not always worse than skinny unless you're really REALLY fat, planet size, just as skinny will be worse than fat if you're skin and bones. Being unhealthy is really not cool.(Also, i exercise pretty regularly, drink a lot of water and avoid junk food, my medical files are A+ so yes, i'm pretty healthy too. And STILL overweight.)

If you're fine with the way you look at whatever your weight, then that's fine. Though, I don't think you can necessarily know what other people think about you, that's pushing it a little. People lie, they stretch the truth, they say things in ways that mean what you might not think, and simply put they're complex, you can never know if they're truly deceiving you or not. Anyway, obviously there is such a thing as too skinny, never said that there wasn't. Also, if you're still fat, and you do all those things and aren't bullshitting, then it sounds more like a metabolic problem. That's an abnormality and your personal experience is different by that. 

Also, I find thin Rose to look more appealing than Rose, so I say that, but of course that's personal preference and this is art so..

(Oh, and one last thing, I wasn't pointing out caveats on purpose, as I was trying to get a reaction out of the original comment. He/she is an absolute bitch.)

Well i mean, taste is taste, as some guys like skinny girls better, i think my bf probably isn't lying when he says i'm gorgeous in his eyes, nor are my friends, nor anyone who likes chunky girls better. Also actually, in Brazil "thicc" is much preferred over thin, so i think it might be cultural? Girls here prefer to go to the gym to have a big ass and thick thighs rather than get thin, so being "thick" isn't really looked down upon unless you're literally at landwhale size. 
Also no, i don't have any metabolic problem either. My built is big naturally, i exercise A LOT since i was a kid(i fought muay thai and judo at 10 yr old and later went to gym because my mom was worried about me becoming too lazy) and i guess the fat just stays on top of the muscles? I eat a lot too because of it, so that's might be the cause. I actually identify with the canon Rose because she also fought a lot and did many things and never got any skinnier, so i think we're pretty similar on physical appearance except i don't have long luscious pink hair or peach skin, eh. 
That being said, skinny Rose is also really pretty, just as pretty as canon Rose and i don't think people should bash artists for drawing her skinny. Everyone has their own preferences and artistic freedom is a thing. People should just get over it tbh.

Ah that doesn't really make you fat, it means you have a heavy build. I wouldn't call it fat personally anyway. To clarify, I'm not saying these people are lying, I'm just saying that you can't know for sure, and therefore makes it difficult to use that as a point. I like the fact you think you're "fat" and yet has so many ways to describe an overly fat person. XD

Anyway, as I said, I just wanted to poke at the original commenter, so this isn't necessary.

No, i'm fat as in overweight, really, i've been a chubby baby aalll my life, but as i grew i guess i just went from a little ball of fatty fat to a girl with a more woman-ish shape and things just settled then, even if i never even tried to lose weight, and now i'm considered a normal, kinda chubby, but "cute" girl by most people's standards(most because ofc not everyone will think the same and while some people just think "eh, cute" others might think "EW LOOK AT THIS GIRL SHE'S LIKE A PLANET WITH HER OWN ORBIT" but i tend to flock with people who think the former).  
Also yeah, that's an habit i got from surfing too much facebook gossip pages. Sometimes it's useful i guess! xd

I also have a serious problem with people drawing such characters skinny - especially when they are such great role models/someone to look up to - but hey, the artist didn't know, they are aware and they did not do it on purpose to offend anyone.
