wow, this dude looks so warped, messed up, trapped like you say, it it's own body. he looks incredibly tense and uncomfortable. i feel like that about my body. i dunno if you read my journals, but i've been really ill for a couple of years and i sure did feel trapped in my body and all i could think of was all the things that i felt that were really bad, i think the mind is primary and the body a place to keep the mind and to give you pleasure. i'd be thrilled to shed my body. this dude looks like he's trying to do that, but it's hard as hell .
at the same time he flows and winds and has that twist in it and all the nice round edges. it's like a celtic snake eating his tail. do you do sketches first or launch right into it? do you have a specific idea in mind. which is you favorite of them all?

Wow!! I just love how you drew a figure with twisted, almost nonhuman features, the hands being the only realistic parts. Aside from the expressiveness of it, the shading and value are very nicely done. I really like this :]!

I like how the shadows complement the posture. It seems they add to the sadness and despair of the whole piece. Also the twisting of the lines seems to signify the struggle and torment inside the figure, that is caught inside its own "prison". I've been a fan of your work for some time now. It is highly unique and therefore recognizable as your own style. I like!
