Retro-Death — Morrowind Lore - Day 5 - The 'Corvus' method.

Description ~CorvusCorax92 , a watcher of mine, told me of his ingenious looting methods. His way of enchanting a cheap piece of clothing with a constant 'poison on self' effect and selling it to a merchant (who would then wear it as they almost always do) sounded devious yet brilliant and simply had to be portrayed.

I know, it's brilliant right? I'm playing Skyrim a bit too much lately but when Morrowind goes back in I'm definitely gonna try this too. XD

But isn't there a patch that fixes that? Morrowind Code Patch?

You mean that prevents them from putting it on or that they won't die from it? I hope not!

I think it prevents them from wearing the stuff they buy, something about people getting the heck scared out of them when they walk into a store and come face to face with an 'assassin'

I always loved it how when you sold them stuff they were like "F*ck that I'm keeping that for me!" And then they have this half-assed assembled outfit. XD

Bonemold and Dreugh? That's pretty expensive gear, no?

Retro-Death In reply to Hastur66 [2012-12-04 14:08:37 +0000 UTC]

Yeah in the beginning of the game perhaps when you don't have a lot of stuff yet but even then my character killed and stole to get those. XD

Hastur66 In reply to Retro-Death [2012-12-04 20:44:41 +0000 UTC]

Oh. Allright. I'd still wear Dreugh and Bonemold istead of a fine robe with unknown enchantments handed to me for free by a creepy-looking stranger who uses cult-references, tho.

This is a popular bit of evil, but given the difficulty and/or cost involved in creating a constant enchantment you probably won't need it by the time you can manage it. Still, the creative misuses you could get up to with enchantment in Morrowind were a lot of fun. Boy oh boy, did they nerf enchanting (in terms of both scope and sense of achievement) in Skyrim...

Retro-Death In reply to Dragonsmithy [2012-10-27 15:43:08 +0000 UTC]

Yeah that's probably why I still can't do it. XD But hey, it's always useful if you're looking for a house to make your own right?

Yes it is. I still have to try it out but I don't think my enchantment skills are good enough yet.

That is seriously evil O_______________e;;;;;;;

One time I tricked my brother into thinking there was a glitch where a Dark Brotherhood guy wasn't attacking me for some reason by selling Dark Brotherhood armour to the shopkeep

You are JUST as evil. AT least I kill without tricks.

But I don't kill with tricks O_o I just tricked my brother into thinking a shopkeep was Dark Brotherhood in a game I was playing is all ;o;

Retro-Death In reply to Flitter-Flutter [2012-10-26 23:39:26 +0000 UTC]

You mean misleading your brother putting him up to evil deeds. You're a puppeteer.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Flitter-Flutter In reply to Retro-Death [2012-10-27 00:27:17 +0000 UTC]

No, cause it was my game, so he didn't do anything. He was just watching. And was like, "O___o that's a weird glitch" then I was like "No it's just the shopkeep" *buys stuff*
