I love the idea of using the shadow to create a scond shape in the image. If you used a colour background to make things *pop* more this would've looked even better.
A lime green or sky blue background would create a really nice colour contrast and add to the cartoonish-ness of the photo. I think it might also help the colour of the fruit appear brighter.
Great idea otherwise. Do other fruit give the same effect? I think it would make such a fun series. Each fruit would make its own character. Maybe you could even doodle in a background e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/sā¦ " width="15" height="15" alt="

I didn't even think of taking this on a background, I just grabbed the plate and took the photo. And a series does sound like a good idea.
