"Learning to trust your instincts is a valuable lesson to learn." - Princess CelestiaOn occasion, I like to imagine that a royal pony might find that the tediums of high society are a royal pain in the flank. So what is one to do? Well, if you've got wings, you might as well use 'em.
I'm sure that if you get going fast enough, the sheer momentum might be enough to outrun every other worry.

So the original sketch for this piece was not mine alone. I was given permission to take the fourth panel from this comic here and apply a full-body lift to it, if one can call it that!
So a big thank you to MickeyMonster who gave me the permission to futz around with the sketch and breathe some life into it!

Haha, I was actually thinking of doing that! It was originally going to be her raising the sun, but I realized that it might be too much and so scrapped the idea.

I got the impression that she might be raising the sun when I first saw the picture, due to her pose and expression of exertion. Looks like more of a strain than usual. Maybe she overslept and is trying to raise it in a rush.

Aaah, I'd say that's a pretty common pose. Take a look at his original sketch - it's based off a reference from the movie El Dorado, I believe.
