Frankly, I would not have had the imagination to pile up so many small, different functionality details to make it beautiful. But you did it! Bravo!

these things are really cute and interesting.
I first thought they where some sort of pins, or something.

Lovely craft! The variety of textures and materials really makes it an interesting piece. It has all these layers which makes it very eyecatching! Would be nice as some sort of bridal accessoire

This is lovely! There is a sense of the old and the new as well in this! My mom sewed most of her life and she had button cans and button tins, mason jars of buttons and all kinds of cool sewing notions. My sister and I have a lot of them now. This is very creative, and I love the title. Good luck in the contest!

You are so welcome. Yes they are. She made baby quilts for premature babies and would take them up to the hospitals to the maternity floor so that the tiny ones had smaller little quilts. They were so soft. She departed this life in 2013 and my sister and I talk about her a lot and feel her influence in our lives still. She was an amazing person. Thank you!

I agree. My sister and I have a lot of her material that she had purchased over the years and had in those plastic bins with lids on them. We spent about 5 hours last Sunday going through material on bolts, and measuring (the old fashioned way, from nose to arm extended as far back as possible, and call it a yard for each one you can do that way). Some bolts had 12 yards of material on them. Most 4 though and a few remnants. She would. I grew up back in the 1950's on a farm and we weren't as poor as I thought we were at the time. But we made gifts for Christmas and Birthdays and I am so glad we did. I still would rather have something handmade, or homemade from someone. Those types of gifts mean more to me because a part of that person's time in life is invested into the gift. Money can't buy that.
