Malcolm Reynolds and Inara Serra.Now, resolving this relationship surely deserves another movie...

Pencil with a small amount of the GIMP used to adjust where the scanner highlighted my errors a bit too much! Oh and to add a few sparkles.

I still can't picture how Joss Whedon would resolve Mal and Inara's relationship. But then somehow Zoe got from hating Wash to being his wife, and he was developing Simon and Kaylee's relationship too, so surely something would have had to give between them eventually. Whether it be Mal no longer being the captain of Serenity (and thus not taking any kind of perceived ' payment' from Inara for rent) or when she left them, which may have opened up new doors since they would have had a chance to develop a new contract, which I think is the source of most of their trouble as well as their pride. Or also if Inara somehow lost her job as a Companion due to Alliance making a fuss with her being on Serenity, which would I think strain their relationship more than benefit it. *shakes head.* I do wish those shows had continued.
I love your portrait of them. So messy in parts and yet brilliantly textured, it shows so much character.

Honestly, this is an amazing piece, but to convey their character with brushstrokes on a page so to speak is simply wonderful. This is something that will continue to amaze me every time I look at it. Keep up the good work, and go browncoats. XD
