Okay here is the first of my Firefly/Serenity portraits. Mal and Inara, I finally finished it today. It was Inara's dang shirt that took all the time. I couldn't decide on how to put her tiny beads on her front. I'm not entirely happy with how it turned out but there you go, (it seems I will never be truely happy with my own work.) So that being said I will leave it to those of you who know these two characters, on whether I did them justice.edit: Replaced with a scanned image on 12-23-06

I was expecting Inara to confess her love for Mal while dying in his arms. Not sure if I was happy or sad that it didn't happen...

It's great. Looks just like them! I hated that they didn't actualy put them together. Yet again, if they would have kissed into a sunset that whould have made it cheesy

You did a great job capturing their likenesses, especially Nathan Fillion's. Man, I'm such a fangirl for Mal. He and Inara are just adorable together.

I actually started watching Firefly for Adam Baldwin. I think he's a big hottie. Then of course I just fell in love with Mal's character. He was such a purfectly complicated and multy layered character. I totally understood him.
Hey what did you think of Lost last episode? Nathan Fillion was so hot in a policeman uniform. I didn't see Kate fallen for an officer. That reveal was a bit of a shocker. I hope we see Nathan in more flashbacks.

Firefly was one of my favorite shows for the brief period it was on- you totally did them justice! ^^ It looks absolutely right. I think the fact that it's kind of blurry is almost appropriate (they're always in dirty, dusty weather and no one's ever really clean looking on the show anyway). Lol, it looks like a portrait with character work

Firefly/Serenity is everything that the last three Star Wars movies could ever hope to be. The TV show was great, it had humor, drama, action, romance and adventure with a good helping of mystery to round it all out. If you liked Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel than you won't be disappointed with either Firefly (TV series) or Serenity(movie). Joss Whedon is an awesome story teller.
