So... what in the world can I say here that I haven't said before?My good friend has struck again, and, in his usual manner, he's managed to create something extraordinary and totally surprising.
The scene depicted here ties back to a story I published a while back titled A Puncher's Chance. More specifically, it sort of represents what happened in Chapter 4 of that story.
Why 'sort of?'
Because this exact scene doesn't happen anywhere in the story. Instead, it's more of a summation of that entire chapter... and also something of a window into a moment that most definitely could have happened off-screen.
How does he do these things? I honestly don't know. First of all, he doesn't need to do them, at all. Second, he could give me a simple image of Richelle and Danni standing around jawing at each other (Could? No... DID.) and he knows I'd go crazy over it. But no... instead he comes up with this scene that's been percolating in his head based on a story he read over a YEAR ago!
As usual, I don't have any way to accurately say how this makes me feel. All I can say is that I consider myself very lucky to count Onek as a friend, and I make an effort to remind myself of that every day.

Lucky for me, he didn't decide to render the earlier scene where Emma "accidentally" knocked Richelle to the canvas.

Kidding aside... seeing them makes me happy, too. I like having here, and I like having them on the website. They fit perfectly. But, truth be told, that image of Richelle and Danni is still my favorite. I know the others are artistically improved, but that one captures a scene I really love.

Actually I like that image myself. It perfectly represents a lot of what you do. I've often thought of trying to replicate it but I think that might not be an improvement at all!

Of course you are welcome. I like attempting these sorts of 'this is how I envision things unfolding'. Maybe not how you've intended them or visualize them, but how they might be interpreted. Most specifically by me. As you can tell I've sort of done it a couple of times now to the enjoyment of us both. I like to think of it as a reflection on what the author is telling me as much as anything. Maybe I read between the lines too much or maybe Im a little reluctant to do an exact scene because how you see a scene and how a reader sees it I think will very often be different. In the meantime Im certain I'll do this again someday, and you probably will never know quite what it will be. Part of my charm.
Now about the actual scene... it would be fun to see Richelle knocked on her …………… well we will just see about that one.

This is the part where I'm supposed to say, No please... you don't need to do that. It's too much work and time, and I don't want you spending it on me. All of which is true, but... let's face it... I can't stop you, anyway. And I always love and appreciate these gifts you come up with. So, no point in wasting my time, right?

did a great job depicting that scene. Mitt work is tricky, and easy to get wrong, even though it feels like it should be easy and simple for both parties.

It's very tricky. And onek1995 not only got it right, but he had to INVENT those mitt props to make it work.

I agree with your sentiments for Oney, Richelle. Along with many others, we are both lucky... and amazed. Personally, I can't remember that far back, so you won't be finding any images from me.
