Sooooo, hi. Here's a thing.

This is my entry for CanaryWitch 's OC Contest - $300/Points/Art [SMALL EXTENSION] - it's her character Farai, a night guardian associated with the dark after the setting sun.
I fell in love with the design of all three of the night guardians (who are sisters), and actually wanted to do a huge art-nouveau style painting including all three of them, but alas, time didn't permit it. This alone already took way more time than I'd like to admit, even though I already included less detail than I had planned (I was going to include flowers of some kind and more ornaments as well). It also made me remember why I usually don't do outlines (digitally) anymore lol. And well, recently I apparently can't get enough of drawing space/stars/constellations, so this was the perfect excuse to include all the things. As for the kind-of-not-really-art-nouveau-style of this drawing: that was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw all of the gold stuff the sisters are wearing. And in the end I chose to draw Farai because while I love all of the sisters' designs, I despereately wanted to draw Farai's hair style and her skin (as strange as that may sound lol).
Even though I didn't manage to do the other two sisters for the contest I might just draw complementary fanart of them just for the fun of it. Seriously, check out the Nights designs, they're so awesome! All of CanaryWitch 's characters have cool designs and backstories actually.

The title is a reference to the night guardians being able to receive information from the stars.
And yeah, this is not my usual drawing/painting style, but getting out of my comfort zone a bit with this was a fun experience.
