Description "My heart says, no, no, nobody's supposed to be here, but you came along and changed my mind!"- 'Nobody's supposed to be here' by Deborah Cox.

Left to Right, Bentley and Cooper.

For those that have been reading my journal entries about Rudy, this is the latest installment. I had held off getting another dog for the longest but gave in when I found out Cooper was Rudy's cousin. Really, he is his Grandma is her Great Aunt, they're 4 generations apart.

He's currently six months old and has brought a lot of joy to my life.

Granted, he will never replace Rudy and I'm not giving up on my search for her but I know he'll make a difference in my life just as much as I will for his.

Stay tuned for more photos!

You're right. Both are lemon beagles.

This picture was taken when he was 6 months old. He's almost 2 now. The vet was surprised at how small he is. 11 inches and 16 pounds(full grown size). I think a lot of it has to do with him coming from hunting/working dog lines. Beagles that work in the field are generally smaller and on the slim side because they were raised and trained to work in the field and the woods.

Wow.

It's interesting to see how different breeds from working lines work compared to those from conformation shows.

No, he came from a breeder that lives a few miles
away St. Louis.

He's the 4th cousin of another dog I used to have I was able to trace his lineage back to a group of hounds from the UK in the 1960s.

They pretty much are everything a person could want in a dog, intelligence, loyalty and a great personality.
