45 years ago on 1976/07/09, the Ōigawa Railway in Shizuoka Prefecture ran its first heritage steam train, which was pulled by Ministry of Railways (鉄道省) —> Japanese National Railways (JNR) 2-6-4 tank engine C11.227 (Nippon Sharyō, 1942). Here is one of the pictures I took of the locomotive before the train left Shin-Kanaya Station for Senzu. I’m looking forward to another ride the next time I can see Japan.
