You really wouldn't want that... because the process would change it once money and marketing get in the mix. The freedom I have in defining the look and feel would partly or largely evaporate once it got into the Hollywood movie mill. So... as perverse as it sounds, if you're looking for the best Trek, you can't assume that it's going to come from the IP holder's media productions.
So yeah.... it'd take SERIOUS blackmail!

Still on the 4th book, Open Secrets. Ward's writing is fine, just felt like it was plodding along, like it's just a setup for another rocking David Mack work to follow.

Open Secrets is sort of a transition book, but it gets the ball rolling. Precipice is also transition, but it is stronger because of all that was worked out in the book before. BE SURE to read "The Stars Look Down" in "Declassified" before doing the final two books. That novella has some vital events to the continuity.
