well....i have nothing to say except i worked so hard on this!

staedtler mars lumograph pencils HB, 2B, 3B, 4B, 5B
0.7 mechanical pencil
white gel pen
kneadable, sharpened eraser
paper towel, tissue, q-tips
and some serious hard work lol
reference was a screen cap from the movie. every time i watched inception, i always knew i had to draw this scene.

it's funny what you said about the clothes because i rushed them badly haha, but as long as know one else can tell then it doesn't even matter
my fave part was definitely the end though, Terry, because i love watching your art progress too! it really is something
i'm lucky to have such a great watcher and friend! 
i definitely SHOULD try to change something up in the reference every now and then. i'll try and look for a suitable ref to do that with next time

What strikes me most about this drawing is the amazing detail and shading. I think a lot of times, artists will get so caught up in rendering all the small details that they forget to check if the work actually looks like the character/celebrity that they are rendering.
Fortunately, that's not a problem with this work. It looks just like Dom. His expression is spot on and the scene that this is taken from is immediately recognizable. My favorite details are his tearful eyes and slightly parted lipsβvery distinctive features drawn with excellent precision. My only crit is that the wound on his left cheek looks a bit weird, but it's hard to translate it well into black and white tones, I think. So, no biggie.

i agree with what you say about the cheek! it looks better from a distance, but still it was awkward to do and not my best lol. it's almost like a burn or something.
anyway, i will have to draw some more faces with injuries to get practice!
