This scene always stood out to me as being something epic, both in the books and the movie trilogy and I have always wanted to draw my own version.Traditional hand drawn art.
Digitally coloured.
Finally got around to it, started with a rough pencil sketch and then I went over it again in my beloved fine liners, adding more detail to it, then I scanned the image into the pc, took it into Inkscape and started colouring it.
Pleased with how it turned out, especially as this piece originally started off as a picture depicting the dambusters operation ... but I messed up and it somehow became Gandalf standing against the Balrog : /

Thank you very much, was a fun piece to work on though bits of it were tricky to colour in and get looking how I wanted, all good practice and fun though
