Description YAY! I finally finished a drawing!

Here we have the lovely Alison Hart-Burnett, more commonly known as Lady Jaye from GI JOE! Pretty happy with the final results. I know I could have put more shading into her face but I tried it and it just made her look too worn. Not sure if its entirely "life like" but I think its a decent homage. Also I finally decided against giving her dog tags. I just couldn't think of a way of fitting them in without covering her cleavage (which sadly, WAS a concern, I was drawing Lady Jaye afteral ).

Anyways... was a fun pic to draw, when I actually worked on it. Bit dissapointed that a drawing I could have done in one afternoon took my nearly 3 months. Have to get back on track.

p.s. Might try doing more GI JOE related portraits and figure drawings in the future (I have at least one rather naughty Baroness drawing in the works), and I might draw Lady Jaye again.

Not bad, pretty good shading and rendering job. I woulda softened her jawline a bit, and maybe add some weight to the eyelashes. Did you use photo-reference for this one?

I did use photo reference. She's actually a composite of about half a dozen different actresses and models, with the cap coming from a few other sources.

Really cool! There's an intriguing masculine manga feel to her face if you don't mind my saying - can't put my finger on it, reminds me of City Hunter or something... anyway, seems appropriate for Lady Jaye's character I feel.

Just do what I do. Refuse to acknowledge Devils Due. It reads like bad fan fiction.

Maybe if Marvel gets the liscense again they can ignore DD, get Hama back on the book and have some REAL Joe adventures from the man who made them the characters we love.

I really do need to eventually do a Beach Head drawing, considering he's my favourite GI JOE character. Incidently my favourites are Beach Head, Lady Jaye and Roadblock for the Joes and The Baroness, Cobra Commander and Storm Shadow for Cobra.
