Wonderful. Very strong face, not unattractive but not overly beautiful either. Love how the wispy hair suggests that she's been flying, and also kinda like the bun (because if you're going to be fighting crime and flying through the air, hair in your face is NOT going to help). Very, VERY good depiction of a superheroine. I get the feeling she's staring at a new threat on the horizon. For some reason at twilight.
Also, I love the realistic style and the good shading.

Thank you again, Kerevon! Regarding the hair, I thought that a loose bun would not only fit the character as I saw and see her in my head, but also telegraph her personality (hair tied in a bun for practicality, but loose because she's not bothered with preening).
If I was to redraw a portrait of her again today I probably would end up "prettifying" her a tad, just because I think my line work and pencil shading came off a little harsh in this portrait. Actually, the more I look at this drawing the more I think she facially looks a bit like a cross between Adrienne Barbeau and Signourney Weaver (it's the toothy mouth and chin).

I see what you mean about some Sigourney Weaver influences there...

The funny thing is it wasn't intentional. Just a similarity I only just now noticed.

I like her facial features, she's not some archetypal blank beauty, but clearly a woman with personality. And the shading is good; if you wanted it more polished, well you might try smearing it with cotton buds or sth, but I think it would take a little from her personality in this particular portrait - the kinda cross-hatching-like shading adds to the impression of strength and determination about her.

I love the expression, with that sort of distant, authoritative stare.

Thank Six! Yeah, I just liked the look too. As if she's staring off "there's trouble on the horizon!" Reminded me of when Superman in the JLA scans all around for miles with his telescopic and x-ray vision.

Um...no... They'll be pendulous, thats about it. She's a superhero who doesn't age (in my back story for her she's sorta frozen physically somewhere between 28 - 35).
Its comics. They're idealized versions of men and women. Women in real life may not have perfect bodies like in comics (with few exceptions) but neither do men in real life all have chiseled perfect physiques and bulging muscles.

Not really the best inker. Actually I kinda suck at inking (few samples in my gallery). Also for some reason I have a hard time drawing in "comic book style" without it looking really crappy. Suppose i should just practice...
Thanks Matthew.

Thank you CPSS. Yeah I think that's sorta become part of my style, outlining everything and then the straight line shading I do.

Thank you Heather. Glad it doesn't look too crappy. Experimenting a bit I guess...
