Great focus; maybe cropped a little bit too tight on the bottom-right corner.

Great shot :]

Yeah, I can see your point. BTW, sorry it took me so long to get back to you on these comments. I was away from a computer, so I just got back in and am getting around to answering.

Thanks. I am glad you like it. It was a fun shot to do, trying to get everything right in this low light. I didn't notice the reflected light from the small particles till i saw it on my computer. That just added something to it for me.

Nice offset composition, but cummon Mang, I know you can get more creative than this!!
(not to say I don't like this.... But...)
Maybe some modifications afterward would add some interest........?

Jellyfish are such the coolest critters.... Nice shot. It's hard to get those things in focus because the lighting is usually non-existent and very problematic.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Roland3791 In reply to JoyKodani [2009-02-17 15:30:09 +0000 UTC]

so very true... i have oh about 15 shots of this one... and only one or 2 were worth while. But hey, it worked, so i'm happy.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JoyKodani In reply to Roland3791 [2009-02-18 02:10:10 +0000 UTC]

I know what you mean... It took me about as many shots to get the one at this [link] . Meanwhile, I just sat there and became hypnotized by them...

So tranquil...

and...

so...

floaty...

very nice photo

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Roland3791 In reply to Adi-Emus [2009-02-17 12:33:15 +0000 UTC]

It was in San Diego, at an Aquarium there. I honestly can't remember the name now. I need to take notes I think.
Glad you like it btw.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Adi-Emus In reply to Roland3791 [2009-02-17 12:53:10 +0000 UTC]

I have the same problem -lack of notes (and sometimes knowledge ). stupid feeling, when someone asks: what, the hell, are you presenting?

taken through aquarium glass? very nice outcome then, as reflexions are invisible and quality is fine. seems to be underwater shot polar filter used?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Roland3791 In reply to Adi-Emus [2009-02-17 13:15:00 +0000 UTC]

Nope, no filter, just made sure to stand so that i was blocking any light off the glass. No flash, since flash is such a killer with reflection off the glass.
The filter was just slowing down the shutter too much to get the moving fish and jellies...
