But it must be done!Generally what I do with a scene is, I add SFX to each clip I'm going to use in the overall edit.
With this clip for eg, I'd use the same or similar sounding steam, chuffing and rolling stock sounds to keep a bit of continuity in each shot.
It's the part of editing that I hate the most as it's really time consuming :s But it does help in making the overall edit faster to put together. When I get all this out of the way all I then have to focus on is the timing of the clips, music and narration which is way more fun to do

i can't stand it 8( it's so hard to find the right SFX to not make a scene feel empty

I have to give a chap called Brandon Polley huge props though, he compiled together literally every sound effect used in the model series into a zip folder and its been helping me out a lot
