Photo reference Kwadrat from Ukraine.Watercolor on 300g cotton paper.
I had incredible fun while painting this. I finally understood light and shadow, something I have been struggling with for a very long time. Warm tones in the Sun, cold tones in the shade.
This otter fresh from the water was perfect way to get it. I am so happy with this little exercise.
