Furries are like the homosexuals among all the fandoms because of how shunned they are, apparently. It sickens me how media perpetuates the fandom so negatively because of a bunch of ignorant and uneducated losers. And even worse, everyone believes it! It's ironic that Sonic fans aren't hated nearly as much but yet they are a subculture of a subculture. This Fandom is important to me because it allows me to love animals, anthros, and creatures even more than I did before. I enjoy the art unless its porn... then no thanks. I also enjoy the idea of a Fursuit but am disgusted by the idea that anyone would use it for lewd purposes then wear it to a public event. But I'm also already sick of all the needless phobic hatred from Furry-haters. "Yiff in hell, furfags" is one of the most disgusting things I've ever heard. Not every Furry practices Zoophilia or Bestiality or has sex with each other; in fact, not every Furry even owns a Fursuit or has a Fursona. Some do find anthros attractive, sure, but the difference is that 1. They are fictional. 2. They aren't actually animals. 3. They have human qualities.

So basically, I hate the hatred from haters but also the Furries that are the reason we have a bad rep. I'm sure every sane Furry can attest to this. I also wanted to explain a little about the lyrics I put down. I changed hands to paws because... Well, that should be obvious. But also, these specific lyrics mean something to me. It seems like no matter what I do or say, haters will hate what they don't or refuse to understand and, even worse, fear. I already know that despite being happy in this fandom, I already feel the pain of long-time Furries who are basically like racist victims of all this. I know my world will get blacker the more I expose myself. I am prepared but also unnerved. I also want people to take control of their urges while they still have the chance so that haters can see what we really are; fun-loving, goofy, and creative individuals in an accepting community. We are not to be disgusted or feared. It's now or never. I already know I'm gonna be a rat inside a maze running away from torches and pitchforks, desperately solace. I've got to get away! It's also fitting that an animal would be used in this song, one major reason why it fits so well. But we've got to fix this! I know it'll probably never happen because too many people in general are perverted. But thankfully, contrary to popular belief, there are very few of pervs in the fandom. And I'm certainly not one of them. I will gladly stay away from yiffing in roleplays and in real life. But if I get enough money saved, I will have a Fursuit to express my inner Fursona and my creativity. Any kind of persona is who one is and should NOT be shunned or suppressed. You are telling someone that they cannot be themselves nor even exist. I know to many, for whatever reason, Fursuits are creepy (like clowns). I've grown up with anthros and Fursuits practically all of my life. From Sonic to Disney's Robin Hood and from Dinosaurs to Bear in the Big Blue House. While I understand why clowns are creepy, I don't see Fursuits as creepy. I've never even been to a theme park with them (but I've been to Chuck E. Cheese's...) but I am somehow just used to them. What's creepy about fuzzy animals, anyway? Ah, I can't blame the people who have a genuine phobia of the actual Fursuits but the haters of Furries in general need to calm the fuck down. They are Nazis of this generation. If anything needs to be purged, it's their cold hearts. No one should live with such blackness in their soul. Not to mention, I'll reckon haters have their own quirks that could earn them as much hatred but you don't see me talkin'! Plus, no one should damn someone to eternal torture for wearing fursuits, loving anthros, and being themselves. If they are giving the fandom a bad rep, they should have some kind of serious talk with a counselor but nothing major. Being a furry is all about being yourself. There are no genders or races. You're you.

Anywho, I'm rambling, so I'll leave you with a few stamps and a video that clearly (but not fully) explains the Furry fandom and why you should be as open as you would be for sexual orientations and why you should just calm down.
