USA, private collection.A very special commission inspired by the commissioner's idea
she was looking for a dragon with glass parts and I, not being able to work glass or find shards that could be inserted in my cold porcelain, was overjoyed to find a veritable glass-clay that can be worked just like air-drying clay.This silver and black beauty was thus born, bearing a rainbow's colours and glass accents not only on the wings, but also on the back and legs, among rhinestones and painted curlicues. Her pose is what I call 'panther pose' - doesn't it look like a feline lazily stretching to look into the distance?
Approx 15 cm wide x 19 cm long. Cold porcelain, acrylic colours, glass clay, rhinestones, metal, varnish.

I'm happy you like the contrast between silver/black and coloured wings. The initial idea was to have a black base like a stained glass' contours, but then all black seemed too much, so silver came into play. Thankfully it doesn't mute the rest
