You can't say that you created it but you can change it or add things to the design

Just create an adoptable sheet of your own and pick what price you want to sell then for. When people adopt them you just change the design to 'closed' as soon as payment has been made.
It's a good idea to post a journal first to get an idea what kind of adoptables your watchers would like to see
After a while people start wanting very specific designs and will pay you more to get a custom adoptable
