Prints and other merch available here: teechip.com/jackntaliThis was just a thought I had. I'm sure that the Normandy's crew doesn't just sit in their allocated spots so they're convenient for Shepard to find.
Since both Tali and Jack reside in the lower reaches of the Normandy, I'm sure Tali would have come across Jack at some point and being that they both don't much like Miranda and that Tali is a kind soul, she comforts Jack's confused and fluctuating emotions...mostly Miranda's crap.
... I don't know why I've always thought of Tali as being kinda tall and especially in relation to Jack, but when I played the Games the other day to make sure...they're the same size...in fact everyone is the same size...I've got a feeling it's for model rigging purposes. they didn't want a varying body type to cause interaction problems...but that's my guess.
...and Jack's not wearing her strappy thing. It was actually fun trying to come up with and complete the tattoos that are otherwise obscured. also they're actually sitting on the bed Jack always sits on downstairs

yeah according to the staff they had to use the same base model for all the crewmembers but relative heights from the writers say tali is kind of a giantess since she's almost Shepard's 6'0 and jack is 5'6

one interesting thing when you mentioned that Tali was taller than Jack, is that in mass effect ascension quarians were described as being slightly smaller/shorter than humans

I think your right that Tali would come down to try and help Jack feel better but judging by how defensive Jack is, she'd probably tell Tali to fuck off unless it was insulting Miranda then she probably wouldn't mind however i could never see Tali and Jack ever getting intimate or relationship like cause Jack would just tell Tali: "Your just pissing around" like she tells you if your a fem Shep or when Jack describes how she is not good with that whole 'touchy feeling sorta thing' but i could see them both being good friends
