I know!! The damn light source!! And the more I tried to add, the wierder it looked. So I cut my losses, took the head off the body, and called it a practice piece. I'm still playing with tablet techniques... Folkensan is EXCELLENT at it, and I cannot figure out her method that she showed me... it looks MORE fuzzy!! Maybe if I play with oekaki? Hmn. o_o Thanks for the comments!
Oh? And I am DAAAAMN proud of the hair. That was the reason I even kept the head. XD I didn't want to lose that gorgeous hair.

Digital shading is tricky :/ I tend to stay away from it, since I find it really time consuming. So my shading technique has basically become cell shading with a ton of cheap shortcuts to flesh the image out an make it look more complex than it actually is.

OH GODS!
*droolfest*
iΒ΄ll tell you a secret: itΒ΄s no matter if you color digital or traditional - it will always take the same amount of time. thereΒ΄s no faster painting/drawing. the only thing you can do is fill color in quicker. but you are sitting on shades/highlights
as long as with pencil/aquarell/whatever.

Oh, good to know. See, kind of new with digital here. I can do cel shading pretty speddy though. That's pretty easy. But that's why I don't like doing it! XD

Oh, I hate it. SOMETIMES, it works. But only very, very rarely.
