I'm not going to tell you what happens, because I'm not entirely sure myself as of yet but you can be sure it will involve knives

Ah the background... first I put a gradient in (light purple to dark purple) then I took the burn tool and dodge tool and set both brushes to leaves. Then I burned leaves on the whole image, then dodged, then burned again, and maybe dodged again until I was satisfied. I did it on the reference too where it is a bit more noticeable: [link]

haha, well my cover will be up in a few days hopefully, i've been REALLY busy with some college/family stuff but soon enough I should have a bit of time free to knuckle down and work!
