This is fanart from Escaflowne. Before you think "That does NOT look like them" let me say this much, it is fanart of an Escaflowne Alternative reality fanfiction that I'm writing. ^.^ So I had to age them both. I kept the style as much the same as I could without totally overriding my own style. Anyway, I was happy with the result! ^.^Related content

Hitomi's hair being a bit longer I can understand but it's so much lighter now.

Yup! More illustrations... I wanna draw more but am usually caught between drawing for my original story and writing Just You Wait. Yar, this was a rough idea of how I pictured them in the fic. A bit older and filled out. I like the idea of Van with longish hair (obviously) but then again, I just figured that if he wasn't constantly harrassed to get it trimed...it would come a bit unruly....And I'm glad you like it!!!

^___^ Hehe...that's okay, I understand that it's easier to produce quality artwork when the heart is in it. >>; I myself have that problem with WRITING...I love my Esca fic, my readers love my Esca fic, but I can't seem to CONTINUE my Esca fic.... I guess I'm just so busy these days, and it's been so long since I wrote on it that I'm really out of whack with the story I was creating. -.-; But, you're right--music inspires! X3 I'll listen to that and write like mad, it's true.

And sweet music! I have my 'cry me a river' playlist goin' right now and I'm gettin' ready to write a depressing section..it works! it works! For some reason if I hear what the singers sound like, I know what people can better relate too.... ^.^;;; but now I'm just making noise again, aren't I?

I listen to sad stuff to write sad scenes, too...and hyper, fast-paced music for action scenes. Helps me type faster, to the beat. ^^

Though my tend to be depressing! Wah! I'm really not a depressing person...I just write that way...
As for action scenes, I'm so totally jealous of people who can whip those out! I have to sit there for a while and play the scene in my head again and again and try to get all the details but it usually comes up short ^.^;;

I understand completely what you are saying about writing action scenes. It sucks because you try to get it just right but even when you put out something that seemed right at the time suddenly seems slightly below being right.
So does that mean you are working on chapter 40 and are going to put it up soon?

Yes! It's either too detailed or not detailed enough. Personally, I have to write it ten million times before finally being a semi-happy duck or getting too frustrated and going 'That's it!!'
And yup! Chapter 40 is in the works.
Usually when I post one chapter, the next chapter has been started. ^.^;;; unless I have writer's block, then I have a blank document cruelly mocking me going 'nah nah you can't write! nah nah you can't write!'

Rui hun, you're great! So Hitomi can't fit into any of her dresses anymore because they are too tight and she's eating a lot. Doesn't sound like stress to me. It sounds like she really is pregnant.
By the way I think you mentioned something about doing more pictures. That would be really cool if you did. And also this chapter (40) was really good.

I just finished one! Its not of Van or Hitomi, but it's one I'm still really proud of!! Armand and his wife!!! ^.^ And I get puffy everytime I have stressed eatin'...why can't HItomi do it ?? (*gives big puppy eye*)

Seriously. My roommate has lost 45 pounds by stressing. I blow up or stay the same!!! *whine* why can't I be physically wacked out too??? I don't like stress, but it makes life interesting.

Lol, my roommate in college was a stress eater. I, when stressed, get hyper and overly focused and therefore spend much of the night sucking down cokes and working on something. My nutrition in college was nil.....especially around major deadlines (finals and midterms)

I just have to say this again: I LOVE your story. I agree when people don't like how a story is going they should just stop reading. Its not like the writer is forcing them to continue reading. I can't believe Just You Wait is going to be a year old in two days! Are you going to do a picture or something for it?

I had planned on doing a nice picture of all the women in the story or sometihng along the lines of a group picture in general. Sadly, my computer is to be snatched away tomorrow and flown out to Cali. for repairs. Wah!!
And, yes, I never force anyone to read my stories so gettin' reviews tellin' me that they think it stinks and asks why they should continue to read---just kinda rubs me the wrong way... grrr....
*coughs* anyway!! I have to say that I know that the next chapter will get everyone hatin' a new person ^^' But ya know, what is life without variety?

I know how it feels to have a blank document laughing at you. Right now I have my notebook laughing at me. I try to write a chapter for my story "Don't Go" but lately I've been stuck. I want it to last but somehow it keeps coming out rushed so I know exactly how you feel sometimes I have adjusted things so many times that I just want to chuck it out a window... but on a different note I can't wait for chapter 40! Oh my God I'm so excited! please may it be a semi-long chapter! Please?

I can't wait for the next chapter! Is it going to be out soon? Your story is one of the few that I follow religiously. I always look out for updates. I wish that I had started reading when chapter one came out but I only found it one chapter six because my parents banned me from the internet. Grrr... But ever since I have been reading your story. A tip for action scenes is to use shorter sentences to portray a sense of urgency. ^^ Also, not too many big flowery words--short and sharp, like a sword!

Now the commentary you have on it makes sense. So if this picture is for "Just You Wait", that is what they look like? By the way how old are they in your story?

In the story, I think, I made them about 20 something. Like 21 or so, Armand is 28 or older. ^.^;; This was a quickied picture I did in order to get it out of my head. >.< Not the best...blah, maybe I'll rework it one of these days?
