This picture has a nice flowing kind of feel, soft, tranquil, and beautiful. If this was real I would visit it and never leave ^^

I mainly work in photoshop CS5,
Tools... most of it is brushes, there are many tools out there to use occasionally, but yeah... brush is still the main tool.

I'm so sorry for messaging you two times in a row but I felt bad for adding this to my favorites and then not commenting but this is one of my favorite paintings, the vivid colors, the textures and the clear bubbling water is so vivid and beautiful. You're a master at landscapes and painting and I'm just... I'm just amazed.

I always love paining forests, they have a calm and everlasting feeling no matter what the setting is, so I had great fun doing this one

It's drawn digitally so no real paint was used in the process
You hold colors by contrast, either to their complementary colors or to darker/lighter values.
Here for instance, I strengthen my reds via bordering them with greens of the marginally lighter value range, so the red is supported and not the other way around.

What program you mean? Mainly photoshop, it has a lot of cool brushes, some of them looking like real medium brushes, like oil, water, acrylic etc.

This is sooo pretty. I just want to go to this forest and frolick in the woods. I feel like this is one of those things where you feel like there is so much you should say about it, but you can't find the words.

I am not really good at this myself, but it may still help improve your picture.
I think what your picture is lacking, is a bit of a focus point, or an eye leader, created through depth and shadows.
The dark trees imply shadows, but they are not really casting any, neither are the lighter two.
And if the shadow side of the leaves got darker, the ray beams would lighten up more, that might be a nice side effect.

I love the colors in this! It's interesting because when I think of a forest I don't think of these colors but with the right lighting you'd definitely see these colors! Great job in the color usage as well as the overall piece it's self

Love the roots of the tree spreading over the stream, it make me think that there was once a tunnel the stream went into and the tree grew thick roots across it and then one year a flood came through and knocked it all out.
