Wow. Her eyes are really beautiful.
I was just reading through some of your and Elli's conversation down there, and I have to say that I really agree. Your art has improved a ton. I can especially see it here, with the realism. The only thing I could point out is that her shoulders look a bit narrow, but other than that, everything looks awesome. Proportion-wise, coloring-wise, everything. For some reason her nose especially makes me happy. I very much wish I could draw a nose like that.
I don't know who this character is, but nevertheless this is going into my favorites.
And I'm telling you again, I really really really love her eyes.

And I'm so glad it's improved! It's always been a passion of mine, drawing, yet writing was all I really put myself out on the internet. Then later, art, then more writing, and now I'm just sort of here with both. I've actually contemplated deleting my fanfiction because holy hell, that stuff really sucks. And the new site, Archive of Our Own (AO3) is a lot more convenient and makes more sense. Either way, I'm glad you liked this; realism takes a crapload of time and effort so it's nice to know someone appreciated it.

But yes, AO3 (Archive of Our Own) is another fanfiction site. It's a lot better in theory AND practice I think! It's still in beta mode so one can't get in without an invite or a veryyyy long wait on a waiting list (I had to wait 3 or 4 months and I had applied before it even got that busy). It's highly regulated so you don't get fics that have clearly never met spellcheck. You can also add illustrations in fics (example: [link] ), you can code certain parts to resemble skype sort of logs (this is more of an advantage for Homestuck fics, but again, example: [link] , you may need to scroll a bit), you can add tags to easily maneuver, you can create 'series' and add works to your 'read later' list, and my personal favorite: you can download fics as pdfs to your computer. I mean, how helpful is that?? If I ever lose internet for a while I'll still have fanfiction. It's pretty awesome.

I just want to say, at this point, that I'm so proud of how far your art has come in the time I've been with you on dA. I'm so proud. You're awesome, man. This is amazing. I have no idea what homestuck is, but this is stunning. You should be really glad of your progress, because you've made loads of it.

I'm so glad I've been making progress...a lot of it boiled down to me surrounding myself with good art, practicing, and figuring out what I personally wanted from my art. My initial art was me going on steam- I didn't know what I was doing, but I kept doing it anyway. I think I was barely 12 when I got a dA- even worse, I was around 10 when I got a fanfiction. Can you imagine? I was so immature and augh. I've deleted a bunch of my old comments and fanfictions, and even hid some art pieces in storage because I'm literally ashamed of my 12 year old self.
Three years later, though, and I'm getting where I want to be. I just turned 15 and although I'm not as great as I want to be, it's a definite start.
Once again, though, thanks so much Ellie. You've been around here for such a long time, and it's so funny to think that through all of those three years you still comment on some of my stuff

Aww... haha, I'm sorry I don't visit your art often, I've been pretty busy lately. I always see it around though, when I'm going through my dAwatch messages.
And yeah, I'm also really embarrassed of my 12 year old self. All that stuff I wrote and drew... I was so stupid, and I thought I was so inspired and insightful.
You should be really be really proud of how far you've come. You have such a large following now! And whenever I see all these new people commenting on your stuff, I always have this little proud hipster moment of "I knew Pearl before she was this popular". Haha, it's pretty ridiculous, but I always do
