Description I personally feel the baby would be named Violet, for canon reasons. (Unless Mrs. Holmes's name is Violet like a lot of people speculate, in which case: Oh.) (an old piece, I'm just gonna start uploading everything I've been holding on to today)

That is pretty adorable and sounds like something Sherlock would do. That kid is going to be rather interesting, considering that her father is an army doctor, her mother is an ex-assassin and an "uncle" who's a consulting detective. I like the idea of them naming her something like Sherlie/Shirley or Sheryl after Sherlock.

Seriously Sherlock? Seriously? Tsk, tsk. Although, I gotta agree with Mary. It is indeed kinda cute.

May you inform me of the said canon reasons? I feel stupid asking, but I'm curious.  I saw a joke like that on Tumblr. Did you get the inspiration from there? It is adorable! The kid looks adorable and so does Sherlock really.

The joke where the kid's first words are 'murder'? Actually I didn't see the joke until AFTER I'd already drawn this! lol
No worries! And don't feel stupid for asking, it's normal to be curious! Holmes would be pleased by your curiosity!
In the canon, Doyle had four different characters in four different short stories all named 'Violet'. First, there was Violet Hunter in "The Copper Beeches"; next, Violet Smith in "The Solitary Cyclist"; then Violet de Merville in "The Illustrious Client"; and lastly, Violet Westbury in "The Bruce-Partington Plans". Now if you ask me, that's three Violets too much! So it's for those reasons that I think Mofftiss will name the baby 'Violet' (or at least I hope they do)

Ohh. I see. That's actually interesting. I had never noticed that there were so many Violets.
