Description Ran into some ones game character concept and was reminded I had a similer idea a few years back. This was a character I made who was a Mandalorian Jedi. She was raised as a Mandalorian but she lost her master to a Dark Jedi while trying to reach a meeting point for the survivors of the Mandarlorian vs Jedi battle. The Jedi had left her alive to suffer (like all Dark Jedi do) not thinking she'd make it far with out her master or the heavily damaged ship.
Knowing she had to get the ship fixed she had no choice but to land on Coracant. It was here she was cornered by a member of the Jedi council who not only recognised her as a Mandalorian but as being force sensitive. Taking her in she learned of the mistake the battle had been and was trained in the ways of the Jedi. While it was frowned upon her to hold on to her Mandalorian past she altered parts of her armor to fit under her robes. Parts of the helmet were used to make a communication band for her head.

So there ya have it, the uber combo that is a mandalorian jedi!

There's never enough Star Wars fanart that isn't yaoi around here! I like how neutral her facial expression is, may I just suggest that you give it a more feminine look (perhaps sharper cheek bones, more prominent chin.) and just show the eyelashes. Besides that you did a wonderful job on the folds in her clothing and her hands a great. Love the shading!

So true that.

Given the age of this work I probably wont be returning to it or much any thing like it. However I will say on the topic of the female facial look that on the one hand I agree there is a look that people asociate with more feminine but in reality there are several possible shapes to a woman's face based on her genetic background and in art is it truly proper when trying to express the form of reality on to canvas (or what ever the medium) that we go for what is considered "more (insert ideal here)"? Certainly sci-fi/fantasy works will be based in an unreal setting but why make everything fantasy? To what would we be able to connect ourselves to if it was all plastic?

Heh, sorry bit of a philisophical ranting there. I think it is on my mind because I've been looking at fashion images and the industry has gone over baord with it's editing tools to the point where they visually increase the size of womens breasts and shrink their waist so that this "perfect" image is truly unabtainable in nature.

Thank you for the comment though and the rant was not directed to you, just putting the thought out there.

I understand what you mean, even girls my age (14) worry about breast size and their noses! It's so sad about the idea we have of beauty DX

You're welcome for the comment!

Wow that's one cool character. I'm in the works of creating a Jedi padawan character. They're for a fanfiction like thing I'm wiriting that's a alternative time line thing (this happened when I was bored) in which Anakin doesn't become vader. And this padawan I am making becomes his apprentice.

It's a good character drawing. Her serene/alert expression gives personality, and the firearm hand is nicely drawn. Her clothing has a good amount of detail and texture, from the cloth folds and layers to the gauntlet on one wrist.

Good job! Keep up the good work.

Very cool concept art; the face is especially well done. This has a lot of character for a pencil drawing... plus you can't go wrong with mandalorians. Nice work.

Good job. I'm going to have to put my Mandelorian Rogue Jedi now. I had this idea about 7 years ago when I became a Boba Fett fan. My Rogue Jedi is a clone of Boba Fett & Darth Vader combine.
