Guoache and ink.This weeks challenge is "feathers" [link]
So I set out to get inspired for an idea of some thing doing with feathers. First I thought of a hawk, so I started to look up types of hawks and eventually came across the term "war hawk".
A War Hawk was some one for the colonies going to war with Britain in 1812
I took this concept and went with the idea of a hawk in the uniform of an American of 1812. Looks rather confused dosn't he?

Gouache takes time and patience, the latter of which I was running out of. Also I need to find that artists tape that lets you tape your paper down to a solider surface but remove it from the paper when you're done. If I were to do this over again I would have taped it down.
