What won me over are the story (that writting skills... ), the characters, the music and the combat system.
Just watch a bit of a let's play on Youtube to see if you like it.

Chara's like one of my favorite characters, actually. Everyone looks at me weird for that, but I can relate to Chara SO MUCH. Gotta admire a character that KNOWS how to make a player convince themselves into killing in a video game. It's very well thought out.

It's like a weird mix between ch and sh, and ara is just that sound. Chara is actually the Greek word for "Joy" and it's the Irish word for friend, as I hear.
