Description 2 color print job for an advertisement in the Animal Adoption Fair handouts.

For me personally, I am vegan
I'm not 100% perfect all the time with it, but I try my best and I'm conscious of what I'm consuming.

I'm 100% against the treatment of animals in factory farms where the majority of our animal products come from.
I'm less upset about hunting, and natural forms of killing animals feeling that it's more of nature's way.

Since I could never kill an animal, it would be unlikely I'd eat an animal even if it was hunted and killed quickly, though I don't get offended by people who do.

I don't eat eggs because of what happens to the male baby chicks in most if not all cases.

If I want eggs, I'd get a chicken. If I can't get a chicken, I just will avoid eggs.

Ahhh, I'll write more later.

What do you think Dogs eat?

Here's a better idea: learn about other cultures and their eating habits and find that many don't practice such favoritism or discrimination. Lots of people in the Philippines, Vietnam, Zimbabwe, and other places often eat dogs, cats, horses, monkeys, and rabbits too. In Sweden horse is more popular than lamb. Most of the world population also practices some entomaphagy (bug eating). What we eat is often a culture thing as well as what's practical.

Bonus idea: Try finding a vegan culture/tribe or at least a population of 4 generation vegans when you promote veganism. Oh wait those don't exist. You're better off chasing cryptids instead. Veganism is a first world luxury where well to do folks can afford to turn down food.Β

Best idea: Do away with factory farms and spread the message of how bad they are but replace it with holistic husbandry. Nothing wrong with anyone being vegan but veganism isn't sustainable in the long run.

Vegetarians still support the slaughtering of 250 million male baby chicks yearly because they are useless to the egg and poultry industry.
Milk is for baby cows, not humans. Cows are forcibly impregnated to produce more cows and milk. They have to take baby cows away from their mothers in order to take her milk. Try to take the next step into veganism.

chickens are meant to eat there own eggs they lose essential nutrients when then lay eggs if they aren't fed back they die earlier and are more prone to getting sick. at the end of the day your are consuming a hens menstruation aka period and it doesn't belong to you it not meant for you to consume its for the chickens everything saintbirdy said was correct about factory farms.

not really, i researched for my chickens. most people dont let there chickens eat there eggs because then the chickens wouldnt be profitable. my chickens eat each other or feces lol where did you get that from. sorry hun, your not a snake, your a human that wasnt built to eat a egg, and people wonder why heart disease is on a high -_-. again if you left it in there for long enough and at first you would have to make a small crack to basically tell them its not a baby chick. yeast and mushrooms is not at what you think, sorry, anyways i dont like mushrooms. plant sperm/embryos is TOTALLY different then humans/animals. you should learn about what you eat, its pretty important for your health

well, i dont own chickens i will soon tho, my sister owns 6. chickens arent your slaves nobody should get chickens just for eggs. you wouldnt buy a dog to eat its shit why would you buy a chicken to eat its period. i know we are animals, not many species rely on eggs. i said that because your justifying you period consumption from what a snake does. LOL where are you getting that info from, let me correct it for you. Β eating animal products raise your risk of certain cancers, diabetes, and heart disease. please show the study where you got that from. because eggs have been proven to be as unhealthy as smoking...(i can show you the link if you want) different types of yeast/fungi mushrooms dont grow out of feet... and you cant make bread with your vagina yeast. there is a big difference between something that grows on a human and something that grows out of the dirt

i dont know what you want me too look at in the first link
the second link had no links to stuidies proving what they are stating is true with out studies i cant belive what they are saying tfor all i know they could have made it up.
third link, again no links were shown, they could have made it up have been payed to say that idk...Β
i want STUDIES not blog entries....
again we are frugivors, the more we eat animal products the more likely we get diseasesΒ
first off how do you know she actually did that -_-, second how do you know she only used her vag yeast and not other yeast. there isnt evidence when there is no evidence i cant except it, i cant prove it right or wrong.
im not really putting HUGE effort into it its not very hard to be vegan, again im not sacificing anything. im not lieing about anything or being hostile...? what are you talking about? when was i hostile and when did i lie? i never said you had to be exactly like me.... your confusing

"supported with research" again there wasn't any studies, i cant know if he was being truthful. ok tell me if they get back to you, im sure they wont xD. LOL fruit make you fat??? i lost 30 pounds sence i went vegan and i eat a shit ton of fruit everyday. i exercise like 30 minutes a day with my dog outside. why are we even debating this i dont even eat yeast often xD. being a feminist isnt a religion but it is really stupid... feminists are a whole new topic but all i will say is i dont agree with them. im not "hostile" to anyone who eats meat, unless they rub it in my face that they are right and even then im not hostile i just show eveidence and they get all butthurt. still not making up any excuses... tell me one excuse i made... again we arent omnivores again we can eat anything which doesnt matter if it makes us sick in the long run. my diet is high in fruit moderate in vegetables moderate on grain and no meat... using that diet i tripled my energy and lost 30 pounds. if we were omnivores we wouldnt get sick from eating meat...Β

Well, I am a meat eater and I have nothing against dog, horse, or any other animal meat. I still see cows as a life as I do with the dog. As long as the animal is not endangred, I am fine with people eating it.Β

You know pigs are smarter and just as loyal as dogs? Then why is it so bad to kill a dog for meat but OK to kill a pig? In the end, it is because dogs are pretty and cuter

Saintbirdy In reply to Little-rolling-bean [2013-08-05 14:03:24 +0000 UTC]

You're right about the dogs are prettier and cuter. However, if you look into factory farms, where the majority of the meat people consume comes from, it's a pretty tragic life that ends in a cruel, gorey manner.Β

That is why I always eat free ranged

Saintbirdy In reply to Little-rolling-bean [2013-08-08 13:11:12 +0000 UTC]

The bi-product of chicken and eggs (besides the cruelty that is clipping the ends of their beaks off) free range or not, is the death of male baby chicks. There is no need for male chickens with the exception of a select breeder males, so they usually throw them out or grind them up ALIVE. This might change your mind: www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJ--fa…

i have seen it, it broke my heart. How living things can be treated like products and just be treated like that. And not all of the baby chick is used either which is terrible! I buy my eggs RSPCA approved, so I am sure the animals are taken care of well if they say it is recommended.Β

It is awful. Can't they at least raise them to be food? Well I hope the body is used, like frozen and sold as snake food, and not thrown away.

Since eggs are unnessecary, the chicks' lives are always wasted.
