Working on becoming a vegetarian. My parents said we can't afford to have me on a different diet from the rest of the family, but when I either get out of the house or we get out of bankruptcy, I'll definitely stop eating meat. I may also become a vegan, but I'm not quite sure. I don't want to keep eating the flesh of the species we should be trying to protect, though.

I just thought of adding that vegetables, cereals and fruits are less expansive than meat and cheese. Really, I looked at the price. o_O

So if you were forced to choose, you would eat a person and not a chicken.

First of all, all sentient beings are persons, but I will assume "person" means a human. Second, your question is completely irrelevant as you and I are not forced to exploit animals. We have the ability to choose to avoid it.
Now I'll answer anyways for fun, but I need more information. Who is the human? Who is the chicken? If the human is someone close to me and the chicken is a stranger, I would probably eat the chicken. If the human AND the chicken are strangers and I am forced to choose because I am starving to death, then I would probably choose the human as there would be more flesh there. But other factors could be an influence. If the human is a baby and the chicken is a senior, it would make more sense to eat the chicken....I could go on and on.
Again this is completely pointless and irrelevant. It's like saying it's okay to go around shooting humans for fun because one day you might be in a life-or-death situation where you may need to harm a human to protect yourself.

I have one cat and he eats animal products because he is unable to eat a plant-based diet.

I do not have any dogs living in my home, but I have a male UTI-prone cat so a vegan diet will not work for him because he will get urinary crystals. The other non-human animals living in the home (chinchillas and degus) eat plant-based diets.

I saw you defending vegetarian and veganism on someone's deviation when another deviant said how idiotic it was so I just wanted to say thank you for defending with real fact and proof. I guess you probably get bashed on a lot for it but keep at it, you were respectful and had real facts to go by unlike the other side who had none. Keep up the lovely artwork too and the diet of course.
