Until this point in my life it was extremely unusual for me to make fan art. But now I've found a good reason. This is a humble tribute to a very special musical pantomime troupe which has hijacked my heart and mind since I first heard of them in July 2012. I simply love them to bits.

They are Steam Powered Giraffe, a vaudeville/folk rock influenced band consisting of three antique automatons and three humans.
The history of the robots goes back to 1896 when they were built by Colonel Peter A. Walter who programmed them to sing and perform music with the ambition to impress and win the heart of Delilah Moreau, a fellow Cavalcadian chemist.
But things went horribly wrong. After a series of unfortunate events (involving a destroyed friendship and heartache) the peaceful automatons had to gear up and play the grim role of war machines.
