Considering how busy this would be without the blurring, the background does the trick in bringing those few flowers out.

It did. The macroing turned out really well; I don't think that the focal point would stick out if it wasn't for the blurred background =]

ah i wish i had a macro lens
as to the blurring yeah it worked nice here but it can be a real pain at times..sometimes i don't really want the background so blurred
