This piece was finished in 2000. It's Minmei from Macross. Okay so some people know it as Robotech. Anyway, this is sort of a tribute to Iijima Mari who was the voice actress for Minmei.I titled this "Sayonara" because it's Minmei's saying good bye as well as Iijima Mari saying good bye to the role. The image for this picture was very strong in my head. I wanted to show a wood floor, an old picture and pearls breaking to convey the sense of farewell.
And again, I should never type these up when it's late.

I totally understand. Macross is really all about nostalgia for me. And honestly...I think everyone in that show annoyed me at some point in the show.

It's soooooo old school! Pretty darn cheesy animation now when you look at it but it's still pretty fun in all it's drama and super cheese.

Wow, I like this allot, awesome colouring and I love my Macross! Really well done piece, the whole thing works so well, love the finish on the wood and the necklace is spot on along with the shadows it casts. And the photo, well it speaks for itself! Bravo

I really like the floor, it looks too real to be fake, the shiny effects on the pearls are excellent. The proportions of the person in the photo are good, the shading on her clothes is almost perfect. Though I think the photo needs more of a glossy photo effect, to make it more like a photo
